It was chaos above. She witness it, a complete and utter nightmare. So many lives were at stake but at the moment no one could anything about it. Not her, not her father who seems to be in a deep slumber, and not even the turtles. What happened to them? Are they alright? Is anyone even safe and far away from these aliens or in hiding?
So many questions ran through her mind, but there were hardly any answers. Besides, why should it matter to her? Does anyone really care for her or her lost family? Family. So strange and yet so familiar.
How selfish she was. Now she understand what a real family is. There are people who lost everything, she is lucky to have a loving father and four brothers. And guilt swept through her.
Karai looked at her father. Motionless. He could be mistaken for dead, though, he still has a pulse. She turned into her human form and kneeled beside Splinter.
